Our team brings different skills to the table, from design and production to logistics, sales, and setup. Each person plays a role in making sure our products are thoughtful, our markets run smoothly, and our values stay intact. We believe in supported work, shared responsibility, and growing together. This is the team behind the magic you see on the floor, online, and in your hands.
Jade Bechara
Jade Bechara is Belkita’s mom and the driving force behind Raising Awesome. She built the brand from the ground up, shaping everything from the colours and logo to the tone, feel, and purpose behind each product. What started as an idea rooted in real parenting has grown into a thoughtful, hands-on universe designed to support families without the noise or guilt.
Jade leads it all. From product curation and creation to store layout, market styling, and how every stand feels when you walk up to it. She sources, selects, and often designs products herself, combining elements until they become something truly useful and beautiful. She handles bookings, logistics, transport, and the thousand invisible details that make market days work. Calm under pressure, deeply intentional, and always ten steps ahead. Ella es la jefa. And the heart.
Handsome Latino
is the free-spirit father behind our Little Awesome, Belkita, and one of the creative hands shaping Raising Awesome from the ground up. A surfer, skater, and artist at heart, Badir brings movement, instinct, and calm focus into everything he touches. Originally from Venezuela, he blends craft, culture, and curiosity into the brand’s visual language.
Behind the scenes, he’s the maker. Designing, printing, pressing, and producing nearly everything you see. From DTF prints to hands-on production, from digital design to website builds and payment gateways, Badir handles the technical backbone that keeps the brand running. On market days, you’ll find him on the floor, leading sales, connecting with families, and telling the story behind each piece. Quietly confident. Always present. Always building.
Tata Erick
Erick has been part of Raising Awesome for over five years and is the steady force behind everything that needs lifting, fixing, building, or moving. Known as Tata Erick, he’s the person you want around when the work is physical, practical, and time-sensitive. Calm, reliable, and quietly capable.
From loading and unloading heavy crates to setting up the store at markets, painting displays, fixing stands, and handling on-the-ground logistics, Erick keeps things running smoothly. He’s Belina’s husband, and supporting their family is part of how we build shared, meaningful work. Always ready to step in, always dependable, Tata Erick is a backbone of the team and a big part of how Raising Awesome shows up in the real world.
Mama Velina
Velina plays a vital role in keeping both our home and the Raising Awesome workspace running smoothly. She is responsible for cleaning, organising storage, and making sure everything is reset and ready after long, demanding market days. Her work creates the calm we return to, and that matters more than most people realise.
During December, Belina became a key part of the Holly Jolly book assembly, showing incredible care, patience, and skill with her hands. That spark didn’t go unnoticed. Since then, she’s been encouraged to explore her creative side through crafting children’s dummies, Christmas ornaments, and handmade details that bring warmth to the brand. Thoughtful, capable, and growing with confidence, Belina is an essential part of our everyday rhythm.
Emma
Emma supports Raising Awesome through hands-on care of our space and store systems, helping with cleaning, organisation, and keeping everything in order during busy periods. She works quietly and consistently, making sure the behind-the-scenes details are handled so the rest of the team can focus on creating and selling.
Like Belina, Emma also assists with practical tasks linked to production and preparation, stepping in wherever support is needed. Reliable and adaptable, she helps maintain the flow before and after market days, ensuring nothing is left undone. Emma’s contribution may happen out of sight, but it’s deeply felt in how smoothly everything comes together.
